Every Child Counts works with organizations in the community to provide clothing, diapers, blankets, toys, books, and other essential items to infants and children in need. We distribute newborn layettes -- diaper bags containing a 25 piece layette to be distributed to moms in need. The bags contain enough items to help mom and baby get off to a good start: blankets, onesies, sleepers, outfits, jacket, socks, diapers, wipes, bibs, burp cloths, booties, hats, bottles, pacifiers, washcloth, and toys. These items are either hand crafted by our work group, or are new or gently used donated items. We work with hospitals, medical groups, and other organizations to distribute to those in the most need.
We also contribute many items to individuals who contact us for assistance, and depending on our inventory of items, we can often provide them with enough items to complete a nursery. We frequently provide new cribs, car seats, and strollers.
